Cheerleading is considered a sport at the Utah Elite Cheer Academy and requires special dedication. Cheerleading is a huge commitment. Please read the following information for a better understanding of our cheer program.
The competition squads will operate under these guidelines:
1. Represent the Utah Elite Cheer Academy by competing at competitions throughout the year
2. Attend all practice sessions during the week
3. Attend cheer clinics
4. Tumbling and stunting are required
5. Competition cheer members must keep all fees paid on a timely basis or it will result in dismissal from the squad
6. This is a year long commitment. If you choose to quit prior to fulfilling this commitment, you will lose your deposit
7. Participants may not have any outstanding debts
Cheerleaders will not be allowed to participate until the following are complete:
1. Cheer contract
2. Registration/ medical release form
3. AAU card
Conduct:
Each participant is expected to behave in an appropriate manner. Respect is mutual. Under no circumstances will drugs, profanity, smoking or the use of alcohol be permitted. Any illegal activity will result in dismissal from the squad.
Attendance policy:
Attendance at all practices and squad activities is mandatory. Cheerleaders are expected to be on time. Unexcused tardiness will not be tolerated. Members are not excused from squad obligations due to work schedules. Remember that when you are not present, most formations, stunts, and routines cannot be practiced, so you are hurting the entire squad. Please note: you must call if you are not going to be present for practice. There are exceptions granted in extenuating circumstances. However, you may only miss 9 practices before being dismissed from the squad. |
